On March 3, 2026, we visited Ptak Warsaw Expo in Nadarzyn, where the first edition of Warsaw Security & Defence Expo kicked off. Three halls, hundreds of exhibitors, and a wide range of specialists from different segments of the security industry — the event brought together communities that rarely have the opportunity to meet under one roof.
One Block, Three Industry Worlds
What makes this event stand out is its three-part structure. Under the shared banner of Warsaw Security & Defence Expo, three exhibitions run simultaneously: Drone World Expo (unmanned technologies and UAV), Safety & Rescue Expo Poland (rescue services, civil defence, and crisis management), and Gun & Shooting Expo (civilian firearms, shooting sports, and personal safety). Each exposition occupies a dedicated hall with its own conference programme — together they form a comprehensive overview of a sector in which these three areas are increasingly intertwined.
Conference Programme and Expert Sessions
Alongside the exhibition floor, a number of thematic sessions took place. The Crisis & Safety Forum hosted the Drone Industry Summit organised by the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, as well as a panel dedicated to the safe deployment of unmanned technologies in civilian and defence environments. The Gun & Shooting Expo featured the International Security & Firearms Forum. Notably, the event drew a broad range of participants — from academic institutions and uniformed services to representatives of public administration.
An Educational Perspective
Taking part in events like this allows us to track the direction in which industry standards are evolving — both in terms of available technologies and the topics and challenges that dominate practitioners’ conversations. For an organisation focused on security education, that kind of perspective is invaluable
