The Institute for Research and Social Education Foundation (IBIES) has become a partner of the eighth edition of an international scientific conference dedicated to Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) in the military environment. The event, organized by the National Defense University of Ukraine and the Norwegian Defence University College, will take place on October 28, 2025, in a hybrid format – some participants will attend in person, while others will be able to join online.
Objectives and Scope
The conference serves as a forum for presenting the results of the Ukrainian distance learning project and as a platform for exchanging experiences among specialists from various academic and military centers. The main goal of the organizers is to develop concrete solutions aimed at improving the functioning of distance learning systems in higher military educational institutions and their organizational units.
The program encompasses two fundamental thematic directions. The first focuses on identifying problems arising from the implementation of distance learning in the specific context of military universities and their subordinate structures. The second concerns the presentation of concepts and methods for improving educational processes conducted in distance format.
Participants
The conference will bring together representatives from units of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responsible for training military personnel, delegates from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as well as specialists from Ukrainian higher military educational institutions and research centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event will also attract experts from Ukrainian civilian universities, representatives of other ministries and departments, and foreign practitioners with experience in distance education.
Publication Opportunities
Conference participants have the opportunity to publish their papers in the collection of conference materials funded by the organizers. The requirement is to submit a report along with an abstract in accordance with the formal requirements available in the templates prepared by the organizing committee. Registration requires filling out the participant form available on the event website.
IBIES’s involvement in this initiative confirms the Foundation’s consistent pursuit of supporting projects that combine educational aspects with security issues and building bridges of cooperation in the international dimension.
