The Institute for Research and Social Education Foundation (IBIES) served as a strategic foreign partner during a scientific-practical conference titled “Transformation of Professional Military Education in the Context of Challenges to National and International Security”, organised by the National Defence University of Ukraine. The November 11 event represented another stage in the Institute’s systematic cooperation with Ukrainian academic centres in the areas of security and defence education.
Exchange of Expertise Between NATO Countries and Ukraine
The conference, dedicated to the transformation of professional military education, brought together practitioners and scholars to address challenges to national and international security. Experts from Ukrainian educational structures and representatives from NATO countries – Poland, Sweden, and Denmark – shared their insights on adapting military training systems to the evolving security environment. The discussions centred on practical solutions: utilising digital tools in the educational process, incorporating real operational experience into academic programs, and methods for ensuring educational continuity under non-standard conditions.
Continuation of Long-term Partnership
IBIES’s partnership in this event fits within the broader context of the Institute’s engagement in supporting Ukrainian educational institutions. Over recent months, the Foundation has partnered in previous initiatives organised by the National Defence University of Ukraine, consistently supporting knowledge and experience exchange between Polish and Ukrainian communities involved in security education. The conference partnership confirms IBIES’s commitment to building lasting academic relationships and supporting the development of defence competencies through international educational cooperation.
