COPERNICUS GRAND PRIX 2023. Polish Sailing League Regatta

POLISH SAILING LEAGUE is a project of cyclical national league sailing competitions following the model of many other sports disciplines. The Sailing League consists of the Club Championships of Poland by the Polish Sailing Association, created and organized since 2015. 48 TEAMS, 3 LEAGUE LEVELS: PREMIER LEAGUE, LEAGUE I, LEAGUE II 4 LOCATIONS: SOPOT, GDYNIA, OLSZTYN, SZTYNORT 12 REGATTAS, 36 DAYS, 330 RACES

The regattas are participated in by the best Polish sailors, representatives of many generations of Polish, European and World Champions, Olympic medalists, but also current members of the National Team, Junior National Team, and amateur sailors. The League is a phenomenon in Polish sailing – we set it as a model of modern organization, competition and media presence in this discipline.

The races are held as close to shore as possible and last 10-12 minutes. Thanks to on-water judging by three arbitrators and a simple, short course, they are interesting, dynamic and understandable for spectators. The regattas are held on modern, fast, identical premium racing yachts RS21 provided by us, the organizers. The crews randomly switch yachts to eliminate the equipment factor and ensure maximally fair competition.

We hold regattas in leading locations in prestigious modern settings. We show them to spectators on shore and in front of screens in a way that is clear to everyone, providing transmission from the water, extensive coverage, interviews and summaries. The regatta format is compact, clear and understandable, and the media uses prepared materials to show the competition on their channels and portals.
