Another project we are implementing for you is the conference “Perspectives for Health Tourism Development in Warmia, Mazury and Silesia”. This time we went beyond Warmia and Mazury and invited organizations from Silesia to cooperate. The conference will take place at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice on May 18, 2022. This is already the third edition of the Healthy Living Conference.
Health tourism is a rapidly developing global market sector in which patients travel to neighboring regions to receive medical care as part of a worldwide trend combining treatment with recreation. More and more people are choosing trips that will allow them wonderful relaxation combined with the prospect of health treatments and those improving beauty.
Together with you, we have met these trends. The topic is so interesting and is gaining an increasingly larger group of interested people, hence we certainly have not said the last word in organizing events on the mentioned topic.
The conference is being organized in Katowice for the first time. Last year, in June, we initiated conferences related to health and healthy lifestyle. The title of the previous one was: “Healthy Living Conference” and we organized it in Lidzbark Warmiński at the Warmian Thermal Baths. Both conferences are a continuation of the healthy living theme, which has been promoted for over 2 years in the Warmia and Mazury region during the Future Congress and Healthy Living Conference, including tourism for people with disabilities.
We hope to develop industry conferences on this topic in the coming years.
The aim of the project is to initiate cooperation between the Silesian and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships in the field of pro-health tourism.
The event organizers are: Silesian Tourism Organization, Warmian-Masurian Regional Tourism Organization, Institute for Social Research and Education Foundation, and the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice.
