The IBIES Foundation, together with the Holy Warmia Trail, organized the Warmian Economic Forum for the third time – an event that brings together entrepreneurs, local government officials, and non-governmental organizations around regional tourism and business development in Warmia.
The Idea Behind the Forum
The Warmian Economic Forum of the Holy Warmia Trail is a continuation of an initiative started in 2023 in cooperation with the District Office in Olsztyn. Since the first edition, the goal of the event has been to create a space for exchanging experiences, building cooperation, and education regarding the utilization of the region’s tourism and economic potential.
Who is the Forum For?
The event is addressed to a wide audience:
- small, medium, and large companies operating in the areas covered by the Holy Warmia Trail,
- entrepreneurs from the tourism industry, including travel agencies and carriers,
- local government officials and employees of city and municipal offices,
- tourism organizations and all those who want to develop their business in Warmia and Masuria.
Topics of the 3rd Edition
This year’s Forum brought a rich program covering key issues for regional development. Participants had the opportunity to hear reports from a study visit to Santiago de Compostela and participate in numerous discussion panels.
Among the topics addressed were: utilizing the potential of Warmian rivers, the Warmian Honey Trail initiative as an example of business cooperation, volunteering and corporate social responsibility, fishing tourism, and promotion of Warmia’s cultural heritage related to the figure of Nicolaus Copernicus.
